I want to make it very clear that the scraping of copyrighted digital content from this privately financed website for the use in AI training datasets is not permitted. I believe every copyright holder has the implicit right to refuse and opt out of AI dataset collection to protect their trade and their means of supporting themselves and their families.
I believe what’s been happening with these illegal AI data collections represent the biggest wholesale piracy of protected intellectual properties in the history of the world. For AI companies to believe that everything published to the internet automatically belongs to them for AI use is bold, unethical, and blatantly disrespectful to those they victimize.
I want to share my work with the world, but I don’t want it exploited or monetized without my permission. It’s ridiculous that this battle even has to be fought, but unfortunately there are many entities that have no morals or respect for their fellow human beings.
